TOPPENISH, Wash. – Northwest Fight Promotions will hold a live MMA event on Saturday, Nov. 18 at the Legends Casino Hotel in Toppenish, Wash.
Presented by Northwest Fight Promotions will feature both professional and amateur bouts with the card headline by Yakima-based fighters Jorge Alcala and Richard Foster.
“We have held shows at the Yakima SunDome, but this will be our first time bringing live MMA to the Legends Casino Hotel and we couldn’t be more thrilled about it,” said Northwest Fight Promotions’ owner George Dodd. “Central Washington and the Yakima Valley have produced so many incredible fighters over the last few decades. Fighters who have gone on to make their names in the UFC. This area has always been a hotbed for talent and we are excited to hold an event there. The fans deserve to have the opportunity to see their local rising stars compete live before they go on to bigger things like the UFC.”
Tickets are available through TicketMaster.com or at the Legends Casino Hotel gift shop.
Alcala, tapology.com’s No. 3 ranked featherweight in the Pacific Northwest, will bring a six-fight winning streak into the event. Alcala will face Johnny Robles in a three-round contest and is coming off a majority decision over Leonardo Morales at Tuff-N-Uff 132 in July at the Sahara Casino in Las Vegas.
Prior to that victory, Alcala had notched his previous four triumphs all by first round rear-naked chokes.
Richard Foster, who alone with Alcala is a member of Yakima MMA, has been one of the top heavyweights in the Pacific Northwest. A former CageSport heavyweight champion, Foster thrilled fans at CageSport 62 at the Yakima Valley SunDome with a second-round submission victory over Sua Tuani in the main event.
Foster will fight Larry Gonzales in a three-round co-main event.
Additional information on the full card will be released in the future.
